The scene opens to a darkened room, looking extraordinarily run-down and dirty-looking, which could just as easily be a basement somewhere or any kind of backroom, but most certainly a place you don't want to spend any length of time in. There's one source of light currently seen, and that comes from a television set that's been placed on a stool in the middle of the room, next to a radio, and both items look to be decades old from the marks on the seating and the old-style turning channel changers on the set. It's switched on, showing nothing but static and without even the crackle to go with it. We do hear a sound though, the sounds of "Television" by Daft Punk echoes through the room from the radio as the camera pans around to reveal Persephone dancing along to the music, in her typical bright and colourful gear, dyed bleach blond hair and colourful rainbow glasses. That seems out of place in this place, where Haven call home. She moves with an unusual amount of grace and poise, twirling her fingers above her head in time with the music lost in her own little world as she begins to speak. Still dancing
“Television... To some, it's a poison. It infects the mind, influences the weak, corrupts the souls of those who couldn't decide their own futures for themselves...And honestly doesn’t have enough cartoons... To some, it's a cancer on this world... Me? I see it as a gateway. It's an opportunity for me to reach out, to touch the hearts, the souls, to all those who are weak, Haven can send our message out to and make them strong again. We can be the glue in the joints, the cement between the bricks, and the lock that seals the door shut but not to keep anyone out or keep anything in. But to seal us all together as one, as a whole group and as one family and television is just one part of the puzzle that Haven been slotting together piece by jagged piece.Television is a powerful tool, but something it's a one-way street. You see me, but I cannot see you, but guess what?
She stops dancing, suddenly, all childish joy draining from her as she stares at the camera, blankly
"I can see you"
She continues to stare out at the camera, her eyes cold behind her rainbow coloured glasses..before giggling.
“I can see, I can hear, I can FEEL each and every one of you, and I can especially feel your pain through those cathode ray tubes, across the satellite feeds, and transmitted through the antenna signals. I can TASTE your collective suffering, but my sisters and I will ease that pain like a cooling cloth onto your feverish foreheads. We're going to take control of the very championship that embodies what television is and stands for. Haven will become the showcase of TV and become its centrepiece and then? No one will deny our voice. No one can stop us from spreading our message, and my sisters, my family, have entrusted me with that honour to be the voice. NO ONE will stop us from reaching out to the masses and waking them up from the destitution they've suffered in from all the other sins and sickness that television has forced them all to endure.television can be a dangerous thing indeed, but in my hands... It's salvation…
"
There was a definite hint of darkness with that last word, and she just continues to smile to himself as she walks back and forth, speaking aloud her thoughts.
"Now Duncan Aries is a man who's been left feeling conflicted and wrecked by not just the diseases inflicted on him by television but of his own turmoil and suffering. You take a look into that man's eyes, and you know for sure that he's not, walking an exact straight line as a regular person might do. Like the burning beam of a lighthouse, I can see right through that fog, and I know exactly what the issues are here. No, his rage and frustration it's real, it's real, and on the one hand, I actually applaud Duncan for not letting it be bottled up like the rest of the sick, However, on the other hand, I just feel sorry for him. I feel BAD for him because he's living in denial about his own suffering! He's pretending that it's all an act, he's putting in on to give that false sense of security to his opponents, but the real pretending is just him, thinking everything's OK and he can continue to live this LIE about his anger! I see into those eyes, I see nothing but pain! A man who has so much talent. Can be so easily dismissed as just a guy who takes short cuts. That's all Aries is, isn't he?. Hollow glory, And even after this match is finished with, even after he leaves empty-handed, he will still be nothing and why exactly is that? It's because he lacks a vision. His career and his plans become warped, they change when matches are made, titles are won and lost, and just from one single victory or loss, and this is all something he fails to grasp because he is so lost in his delusional little world where everyone is against him, the wrestling world owes him everything, and that he's going to oh so easily win all the titles and accomplishments that he wants to. But Haven's plans? They are ever evolving, constantly changing and forming in the blink of an eye and never are, will be, or can be tied down to any man, woman, child, match, or event inside and outside of Trinity. My mission is unwavering I'm not here to win a belt for empty glory I answer to a greater cause for the greater good, but I won't leave him empty-handed, oh no. I'll leave him with the sweetest gift of all... The awakening kiss of the truth ... And after that, his eyes will be wide open to the world... Once he opens them back up "
In the blink of an eye, She swaps from being the grinning, chuckling oddly childlike girl to all into to a snarling, vengeful looking predator, fingers curling into fists like she's ready to attack, eyes widening with a fury of a forest fire. The light from her own tv, shows off all of her already intimidating crazy face but seeing this look of madness and anger? It just makes this all the more worrying, so we can be glad we're nowhere near wherever Haven is hiding at right now! Clearest of all is the change in her voice, no longer collected and eerily pleasant but furious and booming which is just as frightening to see than the other side of her "emotional switch" as she continues to rant
"Now, this Scott Slayer. A man who's taken too many wrongs turns already in his career as well as life almost to the point of no return but walks through this life without so much as a care in the world. Like so many others his thoughts are warped with desires for money and fame, his confidence changed into profound arrogance and ego, and whatever talent he may or may not possess means little when all that matters to himself is not the business or any form of delivering entertainment. Where are they now? Long gone, forgotten, and not even a footnote in the history books of this or any other organization, But I? I will NOT dress myself up in the robes of a fool and overdose on pills of lies and delusions as he does because I am a living rehab clinic, and I'll make sure to run you straight through all the therapy he'll ever need to make him break free of the restraints that hold him down on that railroad track as the locomotive of career suicide comes racing towards him. Scott and his narrow view of the world will refuse to admit or even see this clear truth for what it is, but there's an obvious reason why he is on a crash course of failure and doom; understanding. Something that eludes him, but not for long
"
Once again, she comes to a stop, gazing up at the ceiling with a smile on her face as she raises a hand, touches her head with a finger, and slightly twists her wrist, so it looks like she's turning a screw or making the gears in her head turn. All the while she's just looking out at nothing seemingly at least in particular, totally forgetting about the camera filming her, too busy living i her own demented dream world
"Television is a powerful thing, and Haven seeks not to control it, abuse it, water it down or even try to restrict it to understand the power, the influence, and the opportunity that just being on television has, and I have been given a glorious, blazing purpose by my sisters. To put our message out there and making the call of arms for everyone within the reach of our voice to wake up! To wake up and free themselves from a lifetime of tray-dinners and chip crumbs on stomachs, and to make a change to this world and make no mistake that I understand this mission. And I will seize the moment, but do not think that I will be blinded by the lights , I shall not fall into the same traps as Scott and Duncan have of being focused only on a win by any means, or just thinking of just gaining the ten pounds of gold that is the prize on the line. Oh, that's in my sights, but to me, it is more than just a championship. It's a key to a door, a flame to a candle, a plug to a socket, it is the means that I can further Haven's cause, continue to reach out and bring more and more lost children out of the darkness and home, in the loving arms of Haven! That Television Championship is absolutely a valuable assist to our quest, it is worth fighting for, and I sincerely hope that Scott and Duncan understand that I will be entering into this match ready to FIGHT! Ready to battle and ready to make them understand that no matter what their egos are telling them, no matter how many times they lie to themselves and tell that reflection in the mirror that they are the best thing going today, they simply are not who I am. They aren't driven, they aren't focused, they aren't ready, they aren't even ALIVE but me? I'm ready, willing, and oh so able to become much more than just a champion!. I'm going to be the face of television around the world as well as it's champion. And when that happens, no one will be able to deny our message and my voice, and that just brings the rebirth of the world that extra step closer than it already is... Do not adjust your sets, ladies and gentlemen. The show is about to get underway..."
Once again, She lets out a sinister chuckle to herself as she comes to a stop, and than suddenly- WOAH! Out of nowhere with a sudden burst of fury, She rushed forward and kicked the TV set right off from the stool, sending it crashing down to the ground with a loud crash! Sparks fly up into the air as the sound of glass smashing rings out and she abruptly begins to sing with a disturbed, tuneless voice that's become just as haunting as everything else this madwoman does or says, and all the while she gazes up at the roof, at nothing in particular at all or so it seems.
"Television...Rules the nation...Television. Rules the nation..."
