Chelsea would win her first match as champion in Rev1 but not without controversy as her match would be interfered in by Jason Ryan and Amber Payne, however Chelsea wouldn’t have to wait long for a chance to get payback as the International Champion would find herself in a tag team match against those two wrestlers, her partner? The reigning Rising Stars Champion Jesse Lee! This would be Chelsea’s first real test as champion but can she go three for three?

Wednesday the 19th of January 2022, 18:00pm
Sometimes I need a break.
Don’t get me wrong, my life since the breakup has gone great, I found love again, I have my own puppy, I picked up the guitar and that’s not even counting the wrestling stuff which has included me winning my first title.
Who knew that going through a nasty breakup would be the best thing that ever happened to me?
Anyway, I’m at this café chatting with my bandmates and its business for the most part, we’re set to play a show tonight at a venue across the street from and we’re finalizing that setlist for tonight, there was just one problem, where to put the new tracks from Church of the Red Harvest.
”Okay, we’re in agreement that Swamp Witch Cult is staying as the set opener, mostly because that banjo intro I did is too funny not to use?” I asked the bandmates and they all nodded in agreement before I put the track down first. ”Let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way, do we include the cover of “Call of the Ancient Gods” by Sentient Horror?”
”Don’t get me wrong, I love the cover but I think we should save that for when we graduate to headlining shows, we’re the second support act tonight sure but the set should still be about our music.” Sarah pointed out as I turned to my girlfriend and we all nodded in agreement. ”Speaking off, the title track from our second album, should we include the instrumental prelude?”
“I think “The Village in the Mountains” sets the tone perfectly because of how fucking creepy it is so definitely.” Taylor commented before I shared a fist bump with my guitar teacher. “Seriously, including those distorted symphs was a stroke of genius.”
“If that’s the case, I think a strong argument can be made for those two tracks being the last of the set, have the instrumental come on and then Sarah whisper “The Church of the Red Harvest is in session” to close the set?” Julian asked before our bass player did a chef’s kiss. “Perfection!”
“At the same time, what are we doing with Shrine to the Insane? It’s our attempt at Death/Doom which makes it our longest track to date by default.” Trent asked and I quickly shook my head at that idea. “Not a fan?”
”Playing the same riff for over ten minutes got boring quickly! And no, I’m not replicating those wails live!” I insisted as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”Nor do I ever want to envision Valkyrie getting run over by a car to achieve those wails! That was traumatizing enough the first time.”
“So, we’re basically in the agreement that the only way Shrine to the Insane is ever getting played live is if we do a “Church of the Red Harvest” in full show?” Taylor asked and we quickly nodded in response. “Though I think we’ll be doing a Kingdom of the Scorned in full show long before then! Speaking off, I think it’s about time the title track made it’s live debut if we’re not doing Shrine to the Insane!”
”That I can get behind! We’ll put it right after Swamp Witch Cult!” I responded with a grin before putting the tracks down. ”Going back to the second album, Angel of Flesh’s Embrace and Under the Church are definite staples going forward in my opinion.”
”No argument from me! And if we include the samples from the videos talking about the SCP that’s the inspiration behind Church of the Red Harvest it should set the tone, okay I think that’s everything.” Sarah nodded before she leaned over to give the list a once over. ”Just one track left to choose, I think Seven Brides needs to be a staple.”
”And that’s tonight’s set list finalized.” I responded with a grin before passing it to the rest of the band, once it had the approval we finally set about ordering our food.

Only doing this so late because of how hung over I was from the show this morning but hey, what can you do?
”One on hand I won my first match as champion and insured that it’ll be a while before I encounter Toni again, on the other hand my win over Toni was tainted because Jason Ryan and Amber Payne just couldn’t help themselves and had to interfere! Well, this week on Rev1 the jokes on them because I’m teaming with the Rising Stars Champion Jesse Lee to take on Amber and Jason in the Main Event!”
An all-star team!
”I think this needs repeating, the Rising Star Champion teaming with the International Champion? All that’s missing is the World Champion and we’d truly have an all-star team! And if I was an egotistical bitch I’d say something like “and I’d be the biggest star of them all” but do I look like Hayley Halsey to you? Don’t answer that! But whilst this is a big match for the reason I just listed, this is more than a match where two champions are teaming up for me, this is about one thing!”
A big thing.
”Amber, Jason, did you honestly think I’d forget about the fact that you tried to ruin my moment? My first match as champion during my first ever reign and you had to get involved? You know what this is really about for me? Payback! I’m not about to let you guys get way with ruining my moment in the sun? Karma is a bitch that you guys owe money too and this Tuesday at Tuesday Night Sin I will do everything in my power to make sure that you guys get repaid in full when me and Jessie get the win!”
It’s that simple.
”I’m pretty sure I’ve brought this up already but this is my first ever title reign and I’m out to not only make it a long one but prove that I belong in championship contention and that starts by winning this tag team match! And if I have a little help from Jesse along the way? All the more to it! Because otherwise? We’ll have these guys knocking on our doors, trying to get title shots because they scored the win over us!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
”But that won’t work out for you because you’re not getting the win in this match guys, the champs are and we will prove how worthy we were to get our respective titles in the first place by getting the win over you! You see “The Nightmare Angel” Chelsea Skye isn’t about to let her only non-title win as champion be because of outside interference and I will score the victory over Amber and Jason whilst proving why The Skyes the Limit once that bell rings!”
I started my guitar practice as the scene fades.
