A jet black limo pulls up to the Revolution1 arena and a man steps out. It's the International Champion, Jason Ryan wearing his usual suit and sporting a brand new Rolex watch. He grabs his suitcase from the trunk, grabs his title and drapes it over his shoulder. He heads inside the arena heads for his locker room but is stopped by an interview before he can enter.
Jason. I don't mind to bother you but, can I have a few moments of your time?
Jason gives her a writhing look and leans against the door.
Fuck off. I can't be bothered to pretend to care about whatever stupid shit you want to ask. Here, talk to my Head of Counsel instead.
Jason opens the door and steps inside. To replace him is an old friend of Jason, the man who was with him throughout APW, who helped him become APW champion, Ira Stevenson.
And who are you sir?
Who am I? Who am I?! How dare you start a conversation with such a rude question! I am the man who has made Jason Ryan who he is today, I am the man who has guided him to title after title, main event after main event. I am the Head of Counsel to the reigning, defending, undisputed, Revolution 1 International champion and future world champion, the Vessel of the High Ones, Jason Ryan. And my client has just flown in from Scotland because unlike everyone else, my client has the funds to take lavish vacations, not that you'd know what that's like. Regardless, Mister Ryan is too tired to put up with you tonight so I will be interviewed in his place and will be going forward. I will also represent him online as well. So go ahead, ask your questions.
The interviewer is a little put off but continues
Okay, how does your client, Jason Ryan feel about the upcoming match?
What kind of question is that? How does he feel? How do you think he feels? How would you feel if you were facing the living embodiment of nothing in the main event? My client's opponent has nothing to offer. No heart, no talent, no charisma, no skill, nothing that makes him stand out. My client, while disappointed he has to fight someone who does not belong in the same ring as him, is very confident he is going to emerge the victor tonight, and why shouldn't he? Let's take a look at my client's resume in this business. When he was six months in, he won the BPZ Global championship, the BPZ Premium championship and the BPZ Tag Team championship and held them all at the same time, becoming a triple champion in just six months. Six months. A feat so impressive no one had done it before and no one will again. And then about a year later he won the APW World Heavyweight championship and the OPW Prestige Championship. And now, he is the Revolution 1 International champion and is on a role. He beat Mark Kelly and Angelo in a triple threat, beating the latter so terribly, we may never see him again. My client has ended career after career, won title after title in the three years he has been professionally wrestling. Now take his opponent. He's done nothing impressive. He's done nothing noteworthy. So why should my client take him seriously? Jason has been on a roll ever since winning that title, lest we forget. he won what was match of the year, he beat, oh what was his opponent's name? Susan, Sara, whatever it's mot important, and proving she is not deserving of a shot at his title. My client knows he's walking out the victor. I know it. You know it, we all know it.
What if Jason loses though?
Ira rudely mimics her voice
"What if Jason loses though?" I don't know, what will we do if Yellowstone blows up in the next hour? What if the sun explodes? what if a black hole enters our solar system? Let's not focus on things that will probably not occur in this lifetime shall we?
Let's move on. The history between you and Jason is well documented but you didn't come with him to Revolution 1. In fact we haven't seen or heard from you ever since the death of APW. Why?
Ira waits a minute before answering
My client always intended on bringing me with him. Ever since we met we have been close. I am the closest thing he has ever had to a father because God knows his own dad was good for nothing, may he rest in peace all the same. But when Jason called me about coming with him, I was busy helping him write his auto biography which will be out at a later date. I was producing television elsewhere and I have a family of my own. So I decided that I would wait until I had the time to dedicate to Mister Ryan before I arrived. I have known Jason longer than any of you know. I remember seeing him in Treasure State Wrestling when he was sixteen, attending wrestling classes. And I was mesmerized. He was only a kid, yet he had more natural ability than some Hall of Famers, one in particular. And I told him that he would be great one day and would you look at that? I was right.
How has Jason been preparing for Remembrance?
My client does not prepare. He does not need to, my client only has one goal. To win. That is his one and only goal. It doesn't matter whom he defends his title against. he will set them down, he will brutalize them and if he allows it, they will continue to wrestle. And then he will win the battle royal, go on and become the world champion, becoming a double champion once again. My client is the one who will become the gold standard, to take Revolution 1 to the next era.
Jason opens the door and stands in the doorway
It's like this. Line them up, I'll knock them down. This little piss drinker wants to fight, I am going to beat the hell out of him. If anyone brought children, I suggest you leave before my main event. Because this is gonna be a mauling. Let's go Ira, we have business to discuss. This boy is gonna learn what happens when he doesn't stay in a child's place.
Ira enters his locker room and Jason slams the door in the interviewer's face.
