Character Name:
Alex Kincaid
Nickname:
The King of the North, 'Infinite' Alex Kincaid
Hometown:
Bearing, Alberta
Height:
6’0
Weight:
240lbs
Alignment:
Face
In-Ring Style:
High Flyer/Brawler/Lucha Mat Maestro. Kincaid is a human cannonball with a bundle of influences. He focuses on overwhelming his opponent with attacks towards the legs, lots of low dropkicks, dragon screws and rolling leglocks to slow his opponents down. With that done he starts bringing the impact and hitting them with splashes, dropkicks and clotheslines. He’s got a fierce temper and if pushed, he’s perfectly comfortable brawling all over the building. Imagine a Bret Hart/Tanahashi/Macho Man hybrid.
Bio:
Born the son of a Canadian coal magnate, it would have been very easy for Alex Kincaid to grit his teeth, tolerate his emotionally abusive father and eventually inherit the family money. If there’s one thing that’s always remained true about him it’s that he doesn’t know how to take the easy way. He left home at sixteen, becoming the ward of legendary Welsh wrestler Steve Llewellyn and moving into the Llewellyn House in Calgary. Along with three adopted brothers, Alex learned a hard nosed, brutal wrestling style that taught him to direct his anger and aggression in a productive way. Eventually he’d make his way down to Mexico where he’d be taken under the ring of lucha mat maestro Máscaras Cinco. He would teach him a respect for the legacy of wrestling. That being a wrestler meant more than just being a talent, it meant being a part of a line of legendary warriors. He would take that on board and hold it proudly.
But a growing discontent would get him into trouble. He didn’t find himself surrounded by proud technicians or legendary warriors.. Instead it was filled with exploitative promoters and stars who didn’t care about the next generation - he turned to anger. Anger turned him to drinking, drugs and demanding change from companies around him. His passion would win him over a lot of fans, but they couldn’t see how his life was falling apart behind the scenes. His wife, Alyssa, was his biggest supporter and she would eventually encourage him to walk away from the industry to clean up his life.
It’s been a few years since he’s been in the ring. He and his wife have adopted a teenage daughter and vowed to give her a better life than they had growing up. But there has only ever been one job he knows how to do: Wrestle. As such, Kincaid returns to the ring with his wife in his corner saying he’s just going to keep his head down and succeed. But there’s a burning desire to make the business he loves better than he can never let sleep....
In Ring Attire:
Short trunks that alternate between orange, white and blue and red, white and gold. Black kneepads. Black Boots. Taped fists. Scruffy brown beard and shoulder length brown hair.
Theme Song:
“Lunatic Fringe" by Cross Soldier
Pic Base:
Elias
Entrance:
The lights go dark in the arena with the slow, whistling open to Cross Soldier's cover of Lunatic Fringe. When the song kicks to life proper, orange and white spotlights swoop over the people as they rise to their feet. It's Alyssa Kincaid who comes whipping through the curtain first. She’s all smiles, waving out at the people, as a moment later Alex steps onto the stage. The King of the North is all business, staring coldly out over the crowd. As always though, the cheers of the audience crack his facade and he grins a little before turning to the ring and heading down the ramp.
He heads up to the apron and watches his wife take her place in his corner. He steps through the ropes and walks to the other side of the ring, climbing to leave one foot on the top turnbuckle and one resting on the middle. He raises one hand high and points a finger to the sky. He turns and looks to the top rows of the building, where he saw his first wrestling shows years ago. He shouts out to the audience, and then hops down to warm up against the ropes and await the start of the contest.

Manager: Alyssa Kincaid. Birth name Alyssa Paige. Whereas her husband can be a ball of irritated, malcontented anger Alyssa is almost always smiling. She’s as popular as he is in any given company, the first person to show up at fan events and stay up all day signing autographs. I compared Alex to Randy Savage above, she’s the classic Miss Elizabeth girl next door.
Now, with that said she’s not just a pretty face. She’s a marketing maven and a tactical whiz in the ring. Many times her husband will be down, being measured by an opponent for some big finishing move and she’ll shout for a perfect counter. When he’s about to be finished off he’ll see her cheering for him through the ropes and it will drive him back into a fight.
